Coolture LLC was founded in 2009. Coolture's mission is to design, manufacture, and market high quality fashionable cooling apparel at reasonable prices to the millions worldwide whose physical endurance is compromised by heat and heat stress symptoms, where at this time no fashionable cooling options exist. The vest is comprised of specialty materials that help facilitate the cooling that is provided by frozen thermal packs. The specialty materials that line the pockets containing the thermal packs help to assure an even distribution of the cooling effect, thereby avoiding cold spots while the user maintains overall comfort.
The initial target market for Coolture garments is the 50 million Americans who suffer from some form of Auto Immune Related disease (ARD), and whose symptoms are stressed and/or exacerbated by heat. The medical industry acknowledges that many chronic illnesses lower a person's threshold to heat. Within the ARD population, approximately 500,000 Americans have multiple sclerosis (MS), and world-wide, MS affects about 2.5 million people. In addition to the medical market, Coolture is positioned to target the recreational sports and leisure markets, including the 25 million recreational golfers. Additionally, one of the capabilities of Coolture's technology is its ability to be heated, thereby expanding Coolture's market to cold weather enthusiasts, as well as those who are intolerant to cold for medical reasons: the 2.1 million Americans with Rheumatoid Arthritis, the 10 million with hypothyroidism, 1 in 2,000 with Lupus and vascular disorders.
Coolture seeks $400,000 to finance the Company's start up and ongoing business operations for the introduction of the Signature cooling vest to these and other select markets.
