Forums

• Hosted five networking forums
• Presentations by ten featured companies
• Attended by 223 people

Funding Results

• 9 of the companies that presented at a WNYVA forum in 2024 received third-party funding before or after they presented at WNYVA.

 Buffalo AngelS

The Buffalo Angels, a program of the WNYVA limited to accredited investors, held 9 monthly meetings to review potential investments and share due diligence.

• 13 companies made presentations to the group.
• 3 companies received funding totaling $265,000 from Buffalo Angels Funds and individual Buffalo Angels members.

Participation in the WNY Entrepreneurial Ecosystem

• WNYVA and Buffalo Angels members served as judges and mentors for the 43North Business Plan Competition, the University at Buffalo's Panasci Business Plan Contest and the NY State Student Business Plan Competition and the UB Blackstone Launchpad.
• Hosted students from Canisius University and the University at Buffalo at WNYVA forums.

Collaboration with Other Investor Groups

• Co-invested with and/or shared due diligence with The Rochester Angel Network, LaunchNY, the WNY Impact Investment Fund, and UB Buffalo Innovation Seed Fund.
• Member of the Angel Capital Association.

Membership

• Includes 40 corporate and more than 100 individual accredited Buffalo Angels members.
