OnCore is launching a proprietary hollow metal core golf ball that significantly reduces hook and slice. The patented OnCore ball name EVO, features perimeter weighting and increased rifle spin to impart stability in flight and trueness on the greens. The ball has been test marketed in small markets to great reviews and will be launched nationally at the PGA Merchandise show in Orlando in January, 2013.
OnCore has an all-star advisory board, big personality spokespeople, novel promotional campaigns and will leverage these using social media, unique events and high profile charity tournaments. For the 2013 season, the company will sell through green grass pro shops and has begun discussions with retail outlets such as Golf Galaxy and Dick's. Direct sales at events, through demo days at courses throughout the US, and further online channels including, for example, Amazon.com and others will be employed. The company had engaged the services of the Duran Group, who has worked with major golf brands, including Cleveland Golf, to accelerate sales into pro-shops, retail chains, and online stores.
The company has previously raised $365,000 in capital and is seeking $200,000 as part of a revenue-sharing credit facility led by Angel Capital Group. The funds will be used to expand nationally throughout the U.S. as well as reaching overseas markets in Asia and Europe.
